Drunk.. Jibberish.. or is it?

Recently I seen one of my friends drunk... As I watched he/she was talking to me about God.. He/She put their hands into the air (as if pointing to God) and was literally having a conversation with God. He/She said, " Do you know that I love you ::pause:: Do you know that I freaking love you?? Even though I'm not showing you do you still know I love you?! probably not."

It was amazing to see someone in that state of mind still talking to God. But at the same time it brought up a question...

Does God know we love him even though we are drunk? Is us saying we love him while we are drunk genuine? In fact, they say being drunk is like truth serume (s/p?) Could it possibly be even more genuine than when we are not drunk?

When I started to apply this to myself I thought... we need to fall.. in order to realize that we love God even in the deepest pit of our lives. I think it is the most genuine when you are "drunk" when you hit rock bottom and you say, "lord pick me up again.." Those times make it GENUINE for the times we are not drunk.

p.s
this is by no means an encouragement to go get drunk.
