Faith Like A Child...

(Photo borrowed)

Matthew 18:2-4
"He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. "

The kids at our church are on fire for God. Today we had a sermon and got to hear some of the things that are happening in the children's ministry. God tells us to have faith like a child... what does that mean?

Today during church the Kid's Ministry Leader shared this.

During kid's time they encourage the kids by letting them have quiet time and they are allowed to draw and are encouraged to ask God questions.

Well this little girl had been coming for three weeks and every week she would draw and it would say JESUS on her paper. The kid's leader (who was giving the sermon) said, "I was like ok.. there is power in the name of Jesus that must mean she is thinking about Jesus and this is good." well the next week the little girl did the same thing and the leader began to think, "is she not getting it??"

So then the leader felt prompted by the holy spirit to ask her about the drawing and the colors in which Jesus was written. the little girl replied, "I asked Jesus and God what their favorite colors are and God said Red and Jesus said Purple." The lady asked the little girl if she knew why God's favorite color was red and the little girl said, "because of Jesus' blood" and then the lady asked her if she knew why God's favorite color was Purple and she pondered it a little and wasn't sure why. The lady said, "Purple is the color of Royalty it was meant for a king. and the little girl said, "because Jesus is the KING"

There is tones more stories and the kids drawings were up EVERYWHERE!! it's amazing to see the holy spirit move in and through kids.
