We'll not always be on the top of the mountain, viewing all the wonderful things there are to see from way up there, the fresh air, the soft clouds. Darn those times in our lives when we go through the valleys (hurts, tears, struggles).. but we learn all God desires to teach us & where He molds us -- in that valley, so we can soak it all in from the Almighty, then move upward with boldness, courage, confidence, assurance.. toward the goal.. the peak... yeah, we'll sometimes take a few steps back, but only so that we can relearn something that may have slipped our mind.
