Serving...

Today our church broke up into groups and went out into our community. Last week we did the same thing and went around our community praying. This week we handed out food and next week we will be working with our community on their houses, yards, porches etc... Our community that our church in is broken..

I love how are church is BEING the church Christ called churches to be. Just like Jericho was destroyed so will the bondage's of the Edison Community. God's glory is being delivered!!

Today me and this guy named Nic, whom I just met, went together to deliver food to people. This is actually an interesting story I got to talking with Nic and his brother actually attended New Tribes Bible Institute and Nic is wanting to go to aviation school to become a mission pilot. And those of you who know me when he said this my heart jumped and said, " maybe he's the one!!! maybe he's the one God has planned for me!!" So having Nic as my partner today was defiantly a PLUS ;) Anyways back to my story... So Nic and I started walking around the block and went to a couple of people's houses and nobody was home then we saw an old lady, 84 to be exact, out working in her garden and we said hi and we began talking, she let us in through the gate into her back yard and she gave me some tomatoes to take home and also invited me back to take rhubarb if I ever want some. She was a sweet old lady and in her simplicity I found so much wisdom. We talked with her for about 20 minutes, she was lonely. We asked if we could come back and visit her next week and she said yes, so next week we are going to work on her garden and some yard work to surprise her!!
